Modern day artist and bands in the twenty first century are mainly dependent upon the use of electrical technologies, to help board cast and promote their music to members of their target audience.
According to Dr. Paul Theberge’s research he states that, ‘without electronic technology, popular music in the twenty-first century is unthinkable’. This research suggest that without any electrical instruments such as the electrical guitar music will simply be plan and boring. It helps the artist/band create an amtoshapre for its target audiences.
On the other hand, take for example, MTV ‘unplugged’ they show the true potential of bands, artists and musicians capabilities of using acoustic instruments for example Nivarna’s, ‘Come as you are 1993’ .However, it is clear to say that the use of plugged in microphone and amplifiers are commonly used.

Week 1
There are many definitions for the word ‘popular’. One of the many meanings is that it has to be well known by the majority of the public and that people will purchase it weather it is a product or service. In addition, in the terms of music the word ‘popular’ can also mean that it is a synonym for good and that it is easily accessible by members of the public. As a result, poplar music is what people usually like and can have influences on others, even if they don’‘t usually like that particular genre.
